New Delhi/Mumbai, February 18, 2015: Max Bupa has unveiled the new edition of its Health Companion Health Insurance Plan, an all inclusive cover that comes at a competitive price, making it an ideal option for today’s smart customers.The new Health Companion Health Insurance Plan offers an array of customer centric features like no capping/sublimit of any sort on hospital accommodation, coverage for 19 relationships under a single policy (including spouse, parents, grandparents, children, in laws, nephew and niece), unique refill benefit to replenish 100%  sum insuredin the same policy year even though the entire base sum insured has not been exhausted, 20% enhancement in sum insured for every claim free year as No Claim Bonus, coverage of all medical expensesincurred 30 days prior to hospitalization and 60 days post hospitalization, option to top up existing coverageand no co-payment at any age, among many others.

The product offers a wide range of sum insured from 2 lakh up to 1 crore. The product comes with attractive geographical pricing and has an additional inbuilt option of tiered pricing, wherein customers can further avail a 10% discount basis their city of residence, making it relevant to wider range of customer segments across the country, includingthe ones residing in tier II and tier III cities.

The key features of the product like the smart top up option, unique no claim bonus and refill benefit are differentiated from existing offerings in the market. For example, the unique refill benefit in a policy for 2 adults, will allow 100%reinstatement on the base sum insured in the same policy year, if the sum insured has been exhausted partially or completely. This is to support customer’s health needs for a subsequent illness that may arise in the same year.

The smart top-upoption under the new Health Companion plan is forcustomers seeking additional health coverage at an optimal cost. The super top up option comes with six optional deductibles of 1lakh, 2lakh, 3lakh, 4lakh, 5lakh and 10lakh. The customers can avail discount on premium by availing any one of the six options. The top up gets triggered when the deductible amount has been exhausted. The feature is different from other top up options in the market as it operates on an annual aggregate basis making it more useful and easy to use.

The all new Health Companion Plan has been enriched with various new features which will cater to all the evolving needs of a customer, including the ones that go beyond hospitalization like coverage for all day care procedures that require less than 24 hour hospitalization and not a select few(including  Chemotherapy, Radiotherapy, Hemodialysis, any procedure which needs a period of specialized observation or care after completion of the treatment among others), coverage for AYUSH that includes Ayurveda, Unani, Sidha and Homeopathy on the account of increased preference for alternative treatment and other critical needs like domiciliary treatment, organ donation, vaccination for animal bite and complimentary health checkups.
